Minister Muja Oversees Border Controls to Protect Kosovan Food Market

Merdare and Hani i Elezit – Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Armend Muja, and representatives from the Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV) conducted a monitoring visit today to the border crossing points at Merdare and Hani i Elezit. The purpose of the inspection was to assess the implementation of phytosanitary and veterinary controls, alongside measures safeguarding the Kosovan milk market and other food products. According to a statement released to the media, Minister Muja received updates on the advancement of new regulatory initiatives.

These include the imposition of excise duties on powdered milk and products containing palm oil, alongside intensified inspections of dairy products, other food items, and animals entering Kosovo.
