The Ministry of Economy has committed to financing significant upgrades to the local water supply system within the Malisheva unit. These investments are designed to enhance the reliability and capacity of the municipality’s essential water infrastructure. The project was formalized following an agreement signed by several key figures, including Bekim Gashi, Executive Director of the responsible company; Artane Rizvanolli, the Minister of Economy; and Dëfrim Pllashniku, Director of the Unit for Monitoring Public Enterprises.
The scope of the development work is comprehensive. A central component involves the construction of a new water reservoir, which will add a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters to the existing storage facilities. This addition will elevate the total water storage capacity from 720 cubic meters to 1,720 cubic meters, significantly bolstering the region’s water security.
Furthermore, the pumping sub-station located in the village of Banjë will undergo modernization. This upgrade includes the installation of three new pumps, each rated at 75 kilowatts, ensuring improved operational efficiency for the entire system. This substantial investment, supported by the ministry, aims to stabilize and improve the overall economic viability of the area by securing a robust water source for its citizens.
The planned enhancements address critical needs within the local economy, solidifying the region’s utility services through modern infrastructure development.
