Molliqaj: Kurt is to blame for the elections, Kosovo has no opposition – PSD seeks the Assembly

Social Democratic Leader Attributes Kosovo Crisis to Kurti and Opposition Actions

In a recent podcast interview with Telegrafi’s editor-in-chief Muhamet Hajrullahu, Social Democratic Party leader Dardan Molliqaj attributed the current political crisis and extraordinary elections in Kosovo to a combination of factors, primarily the actions of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the role of the opposition. Speaking on “Përballje Podcast,” Molliqaj argued that the opposition’s behavior contributed significantly to the unfolding situation. He stated that instead of offering a viable alternative to the government, the opposition had consistently followed Kurti’s lead.

“There is no doubt that it is Albin Kurti, but this would not have happened if this opposition had not existed,” Molliqaj explained, according to Telegrafi. Molliqaj further suggested that the process surrounding the election of the president created a fragmented political landscape, distributing responsibility and allowing Kurti to deflect blame onto the Kosovar citizenry. The leader’s comments highlight a critical assessment of the political dynamics leading to the extraordinary elections.

The discussion centered on the perceived failures of the opposition to provide a distinct challenge to the ruling government, with Molliqaj emphasizing the need for a more proactive and alternative approach.
