Muslim believers celebrate Fitër Bajram.

Muslim communities across the globe are marking the joyous Feast of Eid al-Adha today, a significant occasion following the completion of Ramadan. Celebrations are taking place worldwide, including in Kosovo, where the event is being particularly prominent. The main observance is centered at the Great Mosque in Pristina, marking a day of devotion and reflection for the muslim population.

The festivities commenced at 05:03 with the dawn prayer, setting the tone for the day’s observance. Subsequently, a lecture exploring the holiday’s profound significance was delivered by Ibrahim Beqiri, the head imam of the Islamic Community of Kosovo in Ferizaj. At 06:18, the prayer of Eid al-Adha was conducted under the guidance of Vedat Sahiti, the head imam of the Islamic Community of Kosovo.

Traditional sermons were also part of the program, with Naim Tërnava, the Mufti of Kosovo, offering messages of peace, solidarity, and unity to the assembled believers. Tërnava specifically highlighted the importance of upholding family values during this special time, reinforcing a core message of community and tradition within the kosovo muslim community.
