The Central Election Commission has announced the completion of the vote counting for over 47 percent of the ballots designated for parliamentary deputies. The counting process remains active across municipal centers throughout the country. Preliminary data confirms that 1,174 out of a total of 2,498 ballots have been officially counted to date.
Initial results indicate that the Vetëvendosje Movement currently leads the vote count, securing approximately 43 percent of the total votes. The Democratic Party of Kosovo follows in second place with roughly 21 percent. The Democratic League of Kosovo holds the third position, accounting for less than 18 percent of the votes.
Completing the top four, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo registered approximately 7 percent. In the specific contest for preferential votes within the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, the party leader and Prime Minister, is leading convincingly, having garnered 109,648 votes. The Commission stated that while a significant portion of the votes has been counted, the final tally is dependent on the completion of the counting process at all municipal centers.
These preliminary figures provide an early snapshot of the electorate’s preference across the major political entities participating in the election. Further updates are expected as the remaining ballots are processed and counted.
