North Macedonia’s foreign exchange reserves are 5.2 billion euros

As of the end of April, North Macedonia reported that its foreign exchange reserves stood at approximately 5.2 billion euros, specifically recorded as 5.207 million euros according to data from the National Bank. This figure represents the nation’s total holdings of foreign exchange reserves. The composition of these reserves indicates that the largest allocation is invested in securities, accounting for 70.8% of the total.

This was followed by monetary gold, which represents 16.8% of the portfolio, and currency deposits, making up 12.3%. For comparison, official foreign exchange reserves recorded at the end of October 2025 were valued at approximately 4.9 billion euros, totaling 4.925.3 million euros. This data provides a snapshot of the country’s liquidity position and the structure of its international holdings.
