Opposition Holds Seventh Protest Outside Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana

Tirana, Albania – The Democratic Party (PD) initiated its seventh protest today, assembling in front of the Prime Minister’s office on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard. Led by Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, the demonstration drew support from MPs and opposition supporters who marched from the party’s Blue Headquarters. Speeches are scheduled to be a central component of the three-hour event.

According to reports from A2 CNN, alongside Mr. Berisha, the following individuals will address the crowd: Besart Xhaferri, Eda Grimci, Edvin Cami, and Senada Mehmeti. To manage the gathering and ensure security, the Tirana Police has deployed a significant presence.

Approximately 1,500 officers, led by General Director of State Police Skënder Hita, are stationed along 3ëshorët. The opposition’s continued demonstration reflects ongoing tensions surrounding current political matters. The PD has stated its intention to maintain the protest for a duration of three hours.

Authorities have implemented security measures to oversee the event. This seventh protest underscores the continued activity of the opposition within the capital.
