Bujar Osmani, the First Vice-President of the Democratic Integration Union, has issued a forceful call for Darko Kostadinovski to step down from his position. Osmani firmly believes that nationalism is unacceptable within the leadership of state organizations. He stated, “The head of the Constitutional Court must resign immediately.”
The vice-president argued that Kostadinovski’s recent remarks have irreparably damaged his credibility, rendering him unfit to oversee even the most minor institution in a diverse nation, let alone a body designed to safeguard the Constitution and ensure equality.
Osmani emphasized that nationalism is simply intolerable at the head of state institutions. He warned that if this trend isn’t swiftly addressed, the consequences could be severe. “If it is not stopped in the bud, tomorrow it may be too late,” osmani declared with urgency.
It’s important to note that yesterday, the Constitutional Court dismissed all challenges concerning the “Safe City” system, specifically ruling that all submitted notifications were deemed invalid. This decision further fueled osmani’s concerns regarding the potential for nationalist influence within the court’s operations, highlighting the need for Kostadinovski’s departure.
