BDI Leader Osmani Engages in Meetings with European Representatives in Brussels

Brussels – Bujar Osmani, leader of the BDI (Besar Democratici), is currently undertaking a two-day working visit to Brussels, focused on discussions with key representatives from European institutions and the European Parliament. The BDI announced the meetings earlier today. Osmani’s engagements included a meeting with Emmanuel Zhiofre, Director for Europe at the European External Action Service (EEAS), and Valentina Superti, Director for the Western Balkans at DG NEAR of the European Commission.

He also met with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) Lukas Mandl (AFET) and Ilhan Kyuchyuk, the former rapporteur for North Macedonia, alongside representatives from the cabinet of Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, including Andreja Viher White and Adele Marsullo. During these meetings, Osmani reportedly raised significant concerns regarding alleged violations of the Ohrid Agreement, emphasizing its importance as a foundational element for coexistence and inter-state stability within the region. The BDI stated that Osmani communicated a belief that a specific plan is being implemented.

The discussions centered on the ongoing situation within the Western Balkans, reflecting the BDI’s continued engagement with key european figures and institutions.
