Mitrovica Mayor Announces Week of Infrastructure and Maintenance Projects

Mitrovica – Mayor Faton Peci announced a series of ongoing projects aimed at benefiting residents this week, focusing on infrastructure improvements and municipal service enhancements. The initiatives, detailed in a recent Facebook post, represent a sustained effort to improve conditions within the city and its surrounding areas. Specifically, work has included the regulation of the drainage network in the village of Frasher, addressing longstanding issues with water management.

Furthermore, significant maintenance was undertaken, with the cleaning of atmospheric water channels in several city squares – channels previously blocked for years – restored to operational status. The mayor’s announcement also detailed improvements to public lighting across Mitrovica. New lighting installations were completed on key main roads, as well as in prominent city squares, enhancing safety and visibility.

“This week as well, we continue to carry out good work in service of citizens,” Mayor Peci stated. These projects represent a continued commitment to bolstering infrastructure and ensuring effective maintenance services within Mitrovica.
