Two Fans Arrested Following Rilindja – Vëllaznimi Match in Kosovo

Kosovo Police confirmed the arrest of two individuals following the conclusion of the Rilindja 1974 – Vëllaznimi football match on April 19, 2026. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that dashed Vëllaznimi’s aspirations of qualifying for the Kosovo Superliga from the First League. Following the game, a group of Vëllaznimi supporters traveled to the team’s changing room in Gjakova to express their dissatisfaction and demand an explanation for the outcome.

According to the Kosovo Police, two Vëllaznimi fans were subsequently arrested. The arrest stems from alleged incidents of verbal abuse directed towards the club’s staff. Furthermore, police reports indicate that the individuals are also implicated in damaging two vehicles.

“Following the match between Rilindja and Vëllaznimi in Pejë, several Vëllaznimi fans insulted the club’s staff due to the result,” a statement from the Kosovo Police detailed. Investigations are ongoing. The incident occurred within Kosovo and is being handled by local law enforcement.
