Kosovo Police Arrest Suspect Following Weapons Discovery

Kosovo Police announced on Sunday that a routine patrol encountered a vehicle and a suspect during operations around 01:30 AM. The incident occurred when police stopped a vehicle containing four individuals. During the subsequent check, one of the individuals, identified as V.

B., a 22-year-old man from Peja, was found in possession of an eight-shot pistol and a knife. The pistol was determined to be of an unknown caliber. The knife had a blade length of approximately 9 centimeters.

Following the discovery, the suspect was taken into police custody. He was interviewed in the presence of a defense lawyer, and relevant authorities, including the criminal-technical unit and the guardian prosecutor, were notified. Based on the prosecutor’s order, the suspect, V.

B., was arrested for a period of 48 hours. The seized weapons were also taken into police custody. An investigation is currently underway.
