Polish Minister of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced the declassification of military aid provided to Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion commenced. Speaking to Telegrafi, the minister stated that this directive was issued following consultation with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, while also considering public opinion and adhering to legal mandates. “I have ordered the declassification of all donations for Ukraine for the years 2022-2026,” Kosiniak-Kamysz confirmed.
The minister further noted that the initial process of supplying military assistance to Ukraine was established under the previous government, specifically initiated by the PiS administration and the former Minister of Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak. He clarified that the current president remains apprised of every aid transfer, a process overseen by current officials like Karol Nawrocki and previously by Andrzej Duda. In addition to the declassification order, the minister also instructed the SKW to conduct an investigation into any individuals who have intentionally attempted to reveal state secrets.
This action underscores a commitment to transparency regarding Poland’s support efforts for Ukraine. The decision by the minister aims to make historical details of the aid packages publicly accessible.
