Minister Muja Visits Pejë Farmers, Announces Key Support Initiatives

Pejë, Kosovo – Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Armend Muja, recently conducted a field visit to Pejë, meeting with local farmers to assess agricultural development and address current challenges. The visit, which included a stop in the Baran’s Valley area, focused on discussions with dairy and general farmers. During the meetings, Minister Muja provided updates on the Ministry’s support programs and development policies planned for 2026.

He highlighted the recently signed Budget Support Framework for Agriculture, totaling approximately 77.5 million euros. This framework is designed to bolster domestic production and drive modernization within the sector. “Our primary goal is to support farmers, increase domestic production, and modernize the sector,” stated Minister Muja.

“These programs will be instrumental in providing assistance and fostering growth within the agricultural community.”

The initiative reflects a commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector through targeted support and investment. The Ministry anticipates continued payments to farmers as part of these new programs, furthering the goals of increased productivity and sector advancement. The focus remains on empowering farmers and ensuring the sustainable development of agriculture in the region.
