PSD Launches Signature Drive for June 7th Elections
The Social Democratic Party (PSD) has initiated a campaign to collect signatures from citizens, aiming to participate in the upcoming June 7th elections. The initiative follows previous participation in three consecutive elections. PSD Chairman Dardan Molliqaj announced the drive, clarifying that it is not intended as an endorsement of a specific vote.
Instead, he stated the party’s goal is to formally enter the race for the elections. “Our focus is to be part of this competition,” Molliqaj explained. “We are seeking to establish ourselves as the primary opposition force.”
Molliqaj emphasized the party’s reliance on continued support from its base, noting that previous backing of their election campaigns was predicated on the understanding that participation was not a vote of confidence.
He added that the PSD is awaiting the results of the elections to determine the next steps. The signature collection effort represents the PSD’s strategy to secure a presence in the upcoming elections and solidify its role as the opposition. The party is actively pursuing signatures to formally enter the electoral process.
