Skopje Police Seize Weapons and Suspect Following Court Order

Skopje, North Macedonia – On April 22, 2026, at approximately 19:30, officers from the Unit for Contraband Trade, part of the Skopje Serious and Organized Crime (SPB) branch, deprived D.L. (39), a resident of Skopje, of his liberty. The action followed a court-ordered raid at his residence in the Kisela Voda area.

During the search, authorities found a significant quantity of materials indicative of potential illicit activities. The raid resulted in the seizure of 165 rounds of ammunition, 56 bullets, a cartridge box, eight buckets of gunpowder in varying sizes, two buckets and two bottles containing powder, 32 bullets, and a box containing 12 bullet spheres. Additionally, officers recovered a bucket containing a white powder and another with a powdery substance.

Various tools used for loading ammunition were also seized. Following the initial operation, D.L. voluntarily surrendered two rifles and 58 bullets from a holiday home he owns in the village of Morane, within the Skopje region, along with six heads.

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities are continuing to process the evidence collected during the operation.
