Regarding Kurt: He’s seeking 60%, but isn’t revealing what he needs.

Kurti Campaign Focuses on Vote Share, Details Remain Unclear

TIRANA – During an appearance on T7’s “Pressing” program on May 13, 2026, candidate Ardian Gjini, representing the Alternative Party of National Unity (AAK), raised concerns regarding the strategy of Prime Minister candidate Albin Kurti. Gjini stated that Kurti initiated his campaign with a demand for 60% of the electorate. Gjini questioned the rationale behind this specific target, asking “what” Kurti needs to achieve with 60% of the vote.

He further criticized Kurti’s lack of explanation, stating that the candidate “doesn’t reveal this.”

“When a politician begins a campaign with a stated goal of 51%, and then seeks 60% without justification, it raises significant questions,” Gjini explained. “If the citizen were to provide Kurti with this increased support, it would not translate into a personal objective for Kurti himself.”

Gjini argued that Kurti’s approach represents a flawed understanding of democratic leadership and the role of the state. He asserted that the lack of clarity regarding Kurti’s intentions is “completely wrong,” highlighting the need for a transparent explanation of his goals.

The discussion centered on the question of what Kurti intends to do with this desired vote share.
