The current price consumers pay for fuel is approximately 1.70 €/liter. Rukiqi highlighted the potential savings that would result from these changes.
If the VAT were lowered to 8% and the excise tax halved, citizens would realize a saving of 17 cents/liter on VAT alone, and an additional 17.5 cents/liter from the reduced excise tax. This combined effect would represent a total saving of 35 cents per liter. The government’s response to these concerns regarding oil remains a key issue.
