Students take on the “role” of diplomats at the Model United Nations conference at ASK.

American School of Kosovo Hosts Model United Nations Conference

Approximately 60 students at the American School of Kosovo (ASK) participated in a three-day Model United Nations (MUN) conference held on campus, simulating international diplomacy and addressing global issues. The event, a significant undertaking for the school, aimed to empower the next generation and establish a recognized international standard within Kosovo. The conference replicated a typical day for the school’s established Model UN club, which has previously sent students to represent Kosovo at international conferences in locations including Paris, the Czech Republic, Germany, and other European nations.

Organizer Drita Syla highlighted the importance of this inaugural event. “It is the first time our school is organizing a conference of this importance,” she stated. “As a club, Model UN has existed in the school for several years, and we have taken students to participate in international conferences.”

The students took on the roles of diplomats, engaging in discussions and debates within the framework of the simulated MUN environment.

The initiative reflects a commitment to fostering global awareness and leadership skills among ASK’s student body.
