Thaci: “My only fault is – that I am still alive.”

Thaçi Addresses Questions in Written Interview with Blendi Fevziu

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi responded to questions posed by journalist Blendi Fevziu in a written interview broadcast on Tv Klan. The interview took place under heightened security measures and centered on Thaçi’s experiences during and after the Kosovo War, his leadership roles, and ongoing judicial proceedings. Speaking directly to the camera, Thaçi addressed several key topics.

Regarding the conclusion of the conflict in June 1999, he stated, “In June 1999, the war ended. It belonged to the surviving Albanian people. Today ‘my guilt’ is only – why am I still alive.”

Thaçi addressed his perspective on the legal process, rejecting the notion of imprisonment as a matter of masculine pride.

“I do not belong to the category of people who say that prison is for men, this expression seems offensive to me,” he stated. He characterized his life’s journey as a deliberate pursuit driven by a deeply held conviction, emphasizing that he has not evaded responsibility. “I have lived my life, I have not hidden from it.

I have followed the rhythm of the marathon.”

Thaçi further explained his approach as a sustained effort, rooted in a defined purpose, and acknowledged the intentional nature of his actions.
