Durrës, Albania – Following a devastating accident yesterday, an 8-year-old boy injured in the incident is now reported to be stabilized and no longer in immediate danger of death. According to sources, the child is expected to recover and will continue to receive treatment at the Trauma Hospital. The accident occurred in the area of the former Kënete, resulting in the tragic deaths of two young people – Kles Nikolli, age 9, and Enea Muçaj, age 12.

The 8-year-old sustained injuries as a result of a collision with a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Nikoll Radaçi. Mr. Radaçi is currently in police custody and is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Witness reports indicate that Mr. Radaçi made statements expressing remorse. Medical personnel have been closely monitoring the injured child and anticipate his continued care in a hospital ward.
