The arrest warrant for Artan Grubi remains in effect.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi is now subject to a house arrest order. The Skopje Criminal Court issued this decision following a request from the prosecution and before a public holiday. Grubi was placed under a 24-hour police arrest with a security bond.

This action followed Grubi’s return to North Macedonia on February 23rd after more than 14 months of evading authorities. Instead of immediate imprisonment, the prosecution, citing concerns for his safety, requested and the court approved a house arrest arrangement. Grubi is currently implicated alongside another fugitive, former Lottery Director Perparim Bajrami, in allegations of misuse during the procurement of video lottery terminal equipment.
