Kosovo Court Ruling Greenlights Construction of Children’s Center
Pristina, Kosovo – The Constitutional Court of Kosovo has issued a ruling affirming the legality of the land parcel designated for the construction of a Residential Center for Children with Autism, Down Syndrome, and Special Needs. The decision marks a significant step forward for the project, resolving a protracted period of legal uncertainty. The news was conveyed by Halil Kastrati, founder of the “Ballkan’s Lives” humanitarian organization.
Following one year of waiting, the court’s ruling provides the necessary authorization for the project to proceed. Kastrati stated that the decision concludes a challenging process, allowing for the immediate commencement of construction. “One year of waiting, one year of hope… today we have the answer that the project will be realized and work will begin,” Kastrati announced.
He emphasized the center’s intended purpose: to deliver comprehensive care and specialized services to children with special needs. The project, as described by Kastrati, is designed to address a critical need within the region. The constitutional court’s validation is seen as vital to ensuring the center’s completion and its contribution to supporting vulnerable children.
Further details regarding the timeline and specific services offered are expected to be released in the coming days.
