Update: Fatal Incident on Prilep–Gradsko Road in North Macedonia
Kavadar, North Macedonia – The Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia reported a fatal incident on the Prilep–Gradsko regional road yesterday, May 11, 2026, at 18:05. A transport vehicle, a “Skania” with a trailer registered in Kavadar, driven by R.J. (45), from Kavadar, struck a pedestrian, K.
Gj. (89), from the Rosoman municipality. The collision occurred on the road between Prilep and Gradsko.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the pedestrian, K. Gj., died at the scene. Medical personnel confirmed the death.
Following the incident, the body of the deceased was transferred to the Forensic Medical Examination for an autopsy, as per the order of the public prosecutor. An investigation is currently underway, led by the public prosecutor and the investigative team of the Regional Police Department in Kavadar. Based on the prosecutor’s instructions, the driver, R.J., was taken into custody.
Authorities state that a formal report will be prepared following the completion of the case documentation. This remains an active investigation.
