The Lebanese president stated that the destruction of bridges by Israel could be a preparation for a territorial invasion.

The ongoing tension between israel and hezbollah, rooted in southern Lebanon, intensified significantly today. Immediately following the commencement of the conflict, hezbollah launched attacks against israel, presenting this action as a response to the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In turn, israel has responded with deadly air strikes and increased its ground operations in southern Lebanon.

According to Telegrafi, israel has now expanded its list of targets to encompass all barracks located beyond the Litani River. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz explained that hezbollah was employing these sites for the movement of fighters and the transportation of weaponry within the region. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed serious concerns, asserting that these attacks could represent “preparation for a ground invasion.” He further suggested that the strikes appeared to be part of “suspicious plans” designed to establish a specific zone.

The situation remains volatile, with continued escalations from both sides in southern Lebanon.
