The new ranking is published: with a Macedonian passport, you can travel visa-free to 127 countries in the world

The latest release from the Henley Passport Index Q2 provides a global assessment of the world’s most powerful passports. In this ranking of 199 nations, the North Macedonia passport was placed 41st. The evaluation of the North Macedonian passport is based on its allowance for visa-free travel to 127 different countries worldwide.

The index utilizes data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), making the primary determining factor the sheer number of destinations accessible to a country’s citizens without needing a visa. The rankings reveal significant disparities in global travel access. Singapore maintained its position at the top of the list, granting its passport holders visa-free entry into 192 countries.

Following closely, Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates share second place, each offering access to 188 visa-free destinations. Sweden occupies the third position with 187 countries included in its visa-free access list. Several other nations share the fourth spot, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, and France.

This data underscores how a nation’s passport can directly influence its citizens’ mobility, determining the number of countries they can visit without prior visa applications. The index serves as a key metric for understanding global connectivity and diplomatic travel agreements across various countries.
