The operationalization of the Administrative Court, Gërvalla: A new mechanism of the state of law in Kosovo.

Administrative Court Operationalizes, Marking Key Step in Kosovo’s Justice Reform

Kosovo’s Justice Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Donika Gërvalla, participated in the official ceremony marking the operationalization of the Administrative Court today. The court represents the first specialized court established within the country. During the ceremony, Gërvalla emphasized the significance of this development for the rule of law.

She stated that the operationalization of the Administrative Court initiates a new mechanism for resolving disputes, viewing today’s event as a crucial step in a broader, comprehensive reform of the justice sector. The Administrative Court will focus on handling administrative and labor disputes within the public sector. This specialized court will provide a dedicated channel for citizens, public officials, and institutions to address these matters.

“This court is the first specialized court in our country, which will deal with administrative and labor disputes in the public sector,” Gërvalla noted. “This means that citizens, public officials and institutions will have a clear, more professional and more specialized address.”

The establishment of the court is intended to enhance efficiency and expertise in resolving disputes, contributing to a strengthened legal framework in Kosovo.
