The process to fill the vacant leadership role at KRRE continues following the resignation of former chairman, Marko Bislimovski. Numerous applications have been received for the position. Tomorrow, the Parliamentary Commission for Elections and Appointments will review the decision to release a public call for the appointment of the KRRE chairman.
Two candidates have formally applied for the role: Aco Ristov and Shamil Rexhepi. Ristov’s prior experience includes serving as mayor of Radovish from 2021 to 2025. Currently, Rexhepi is employed by KRRE.
It’s important to note that Bislimovski’s resignation occurred two weeks after the Financial Police Directorate launched a criminal investigation against him. This investigation centers around the company “Triterol Petrol” DOOEL Skopje. Bislimovski is suspected of failing to retract the company’s license.
The commission will assess the candidates’ suitability for the KRRE chairman position.
