The Special Prosecutor’s Office established an Investigative Panel to examine a disciplinary case against a prosecutor in Pristina.

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK), guided by Arian Gashi’s direction, convened for its 289th extraordinary session. The meeting focused on assessing ongoing cases as outlined in the established agenda. Through thorough discussions and a careful review of pertinent documentation, the KPK reached several key resolutions.

One significant outcome was the acceptance of prosecutor Jeton Koca’s resignation. The KPK formally approved this action, recognizing the Basic Prosecution in Pristina’s need for his departure. Subsequently, the KPK will submit a proposal to the Presidency of the Republic of Kosovo, initiating the official decree regarding his removal from the role of prosecutor.

Additionally, the KPK authorized the resignation of member Elza Bajrami-Kastrati from her position as Deputy Prosecutor. This decision aligns with established legal protocols within the KPK. The council’s actions demonstrate its continued operation and adherence to established procedures for managing prosecutorial roles within the system.

The KPK continues to oversee the work of the prosecutor in Pristina.
