Minister Gashani Discusses Sport Development in Drenas Municipality

Drenas – Minister of Sport and Youth, Blerim Gashani, recently visited the Drenas municipality, meeting with Mayor Ramiz Lladrovci to discuss the advancement of sport within the region. The primary focus of the meeting centered on several key projects and sporting disciplines. According to Minister Gashani, discussions revolved around bolstering sport initiatives across the municipality.

Alongside traditional sports like football, the conversation specifically addressed archery. The Drenas Municipality is slated to serve as a host country for the Mediterranean Games 2030, a significant development for the sport. A key element of the discussion was the ongoing project for the construction of a semi-Olympic swimming pool, intended to provide enhanced sporting facilities.

Furthermore, the meeting included a commitment to strengthening youth engagement and establishing additional spaces for their participation. “We discussed the development of sport in the municipality,” stated Gashani. “In particular, in addition to football, we focused on archery, a discipline for which the Drenas Municipality will be a host country for the Mediterranean Games 2030, as well as the project for the construction of the semi-Olympic swimming pool.”

The visit highlighted the municipality’s commitment to investing in sport and youth development programs.
