Trial for Gas Incident Postponed Due to Upcoming Elections
Pristina – The trial concerning the alleged incident involving the throwing of toxic gas in the Kosovo Parliament, involving Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Fitore Pacolli-Dalipi, former Vetëvendosje MP Salih Zyba, and former LDK MP Drita Millaku, has been postponed. The decision was made during a session at the Basic Court in Pristina on Monday. The primary focus of the Monday session centered on clarifying the indictment related to the actions attributed to each defendant in the 2018 incident.
The case stems from accusations of the deliberate release of toxic gas within the Parliament building. Salih Zyba requested a 45-day delay in scheduling the next session. This request is due to the impending commencement of the electoral process in Kosovo.
“Bet” news outlet reported this postponement. The ongoing trial continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the release of the gas and the roles of the three individuals involved – Salih Zyba, Fitore Pacolli-Dalipi, and Drita Millaku. The court will reconvene following the conclusion of the national elections.
Further details regarding the revised schedule will be announced pending the electoral outcome.
