The United Arab Emirates successfully defended itself against a significant barrage of attacks on Sunday. The nation confirmed the interception of six drones and four ballistic missiles originating from Iran. The UAE’s Ministry of Defence detailed the extensive air defense operations conducted in the Middle East.

These systems successfully neutralized a total of 298 ballistic missiles, fifteen cruise missiles, and a staggering 1,606 drones launched by the Islamic Republic since February 28th. According to reports from AA, as cited by KosovaPress, this ongoing campaign represents a serious escalation of tensions in the region. The Ministry highlighted the ongoing threat posed by the Islamic Republic’s actions.

Sadly, the defensive measures resulted in casualties. Six individuals, citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, lost their lives during the attacks. Furthermore, 142 people sustained injuries, encompassing a diverse range of nationalities.

The Ministry of Defence stressed the UAE’s commitment to protecting its citizens and infrastructure. They reiterated the nation’s resolve to counter these aggressive actions and maintain security within its borders. The operation involved the effective neutralization of six drones.
