Hearing in “Capat” and “Sekiraqa” Dispute Delayed Due to Psychiatric Evaluation
A hearing in the ongoing legal case involving the “Capat” and “Sekiraqa” groups, stemming from an armed clash with fatal consequences, was postponed today due to an incomplete psychiatric evaluation of defendant Valdrin Ademi. Presiding Judge Fatime Dermaku announced that the Forensic Psychiatric Institute had informed the court that Ademi’s comprehensive psychiatric and psychological assessment remains unfinished. Judge Dermaku stated that without this report, determining Ademi’s mental state and his capacity to participate in the trial is impossible.
“Betimi për Drejtësi” reports that the case cannot proceed until the expert opinion is finalized. The Institute of Psychiatry has indicated that approximately two weeks will be required to complete the necessary evaluation. Following the completion of the report, a new date for the next hearing is anticipated to be set.
The core issue of the case – a violent clash motivated by revenge between the two groups – remains unresolved pending the outcome of the psychiatric assessment. The investigation continues with the focus on determining the circumstances surrounding the death of P.G.
