Suspect in Podgorica Homicide Reported by Mother to Police
Rožaj, 22/04/2026 – Vehid Muric (25) is currently under investigation following a triple homicide in Podgorica. Aldin Kalaq, head of the Basic State Prosecution Office in Rožaj, confirmed that the mother of Muric reported his involvement to the police. According to Kalaq, Muric admitted to the crime to his mother, stating he had stained his hands with blood and left the residence.
Following this admission, the mother immediately contacted the police to report the incident. Kalaq clarified that reports circulating regarding a prior family violence complaint are inaccurate. “The mother did not report allegations of violence against her,” he stated, as reported by RTCG.
Authorities subsequently apprehended Muric late on April 22nd. The investigation is ongoing, focusing on the circumstances surrounding the triple homicide. The police are continuing to gather evidence and pursue leads related to the incident.
