Two cousins who were hiding in Dibër since 1999 are included in the list of Italy’s 100 most searched individuals.

Two Albanian citizens, wanted internationally and convicted of murder in Italy, were extradited from Albania to Italian authorities this Friday. The individuals involved are Andon (also known as Afrim) Sina, 52 years old, and Niko (also known as Faslli) Sina, 49 years old, both residents of the Rreth-Kalë village, Dibër. According to a statement from the State Police, these two convicted murderers were apprehended in Dibër in March 2025 during the coded police operation ‘Difficult Conditions.’ This operation was carried out under challenging terrain and weather conditions.

The statement indicates that the two cousins are part of the list of 100 most wanted individuals in Italy. They had successfully evaded justice since 1999 by hiding in Dibër and utilizing false identities. Italian authorities are now pursuing their prosecution.

The extradition process highlights ongoing international cooperation in combating serious crimes and ensuring accountability for individuals wanted in Italy.
