A joint effort between the Basic State Prosecution in Prizren and law enforcement authorities led to a significant drug bust and weapons seizure in Suhareka. The operation successfully recovered two kilograms of heroin. Simultaneously, a collection of weapons was confiscated during the investigation.
Three individuals have been detained for a period of 48 hours following their suspected involvement in the illicit activity. Authorities state that “based on reasonable suspicion,” the suspects functioned as accomplices, operating within a group dedicated to the unlawful distribution and sale of heroin. The investigation uncovered a substantial quantity of illicit substances.
Alongside the heroin, a range of weapons were seized, including four pistols, a shotgun, and fifty-four-four bullets. Furthermore, the operation resulted in the recovery of several accessories, encompassing two magazines and various pieces of electronic equipment, such as phones. The authorities also confiscated two luxury vehicles – a “Mercedes GLE” and a “Land Rover” – which were reportedly utilized in the trafficking of the narcotics.
“Furthermore, other material evidence was seized,” the prosecution confirmed, indicating ongoing efforts to build a comprehensive case against those involved.
