Val Kilmer is being sought out by artificial intelligence for the lead role in the film “As Deep as the Grave.” He is desired for his intelligence in this project.

The recently deceased American actor, Val Kilmer, has been digitally resurrected for a new movie, “As Deep as the Grave,” utilizing advanced artificial intelligence. According to reports from Variety, five years prior to his passing in 2025, Kilmer was selected to portray Father Fintan, an Irish Catholic priest and spiritualist, within the film. At the time of casting, the actor was battling a severe scalp cancer and was too ill to participate in on-set filming.

The writer and director expressed their desire to utilize Kilmer’s talents, stating, “He was the actor I wanted for the part. The film was built around him greatly.”

Kilmer’s unique background, incorporating his American Indian heritage and his deep connection to the Southwest, played a significant role in the creative vision. Despite his readiness to undertake the project, his health presented a considerable obstacle.

“He was ready to do it, but he was going through a very difficult time and medically he couldn’t,” the director explained. This innovative use of technology allows for the inclusion of the iconic val kilmer in this film.
