Members of the VLEN party have issued a critique regarding the handling of the Ministry of Justice, specifically addressing the tenure and actions of several political figures. According to the party statement, the pattern of political engagement involving ministers like Blerim Bexheti and Adnan Jashari is not limited to them. The VLEN statement highlighted that Bexheti remained silent for over a thousand days, and Jashari was cited as having remained inactive.
The focus of the recent criticism has shifted to Valdet Xhaferi. VLEN noted that Xhaferi has served as a minister with a mandate and the capacity to act, yet even during his time, the review of jurisprudence in the Albanian language allegedly remained unresolved. The party further drew parallels between these perceived lapses in governance and events during student protests.
VLEN questioned the nature of any protest directed by Xhaferi, suggesting it was directed against his own mandate or against the period when BDI held the Ministry of Justice and, in their view, failed to act. Furthermore, the statement referenced Xhaferi’s prior involvement in directing Byron for Expertise, noting that the super-expertise related to the case of Tra was dismissed. The party’s commentary suggests a continuity of concerns regarding accountability within the sphere of justice, arguing that the record shows instances where necessary action was not taken by the individuals in question.
