Roundabout Construction Begins at Key Gjilan Exit
The Municipality of Gjilan commenced construction on a roundabout at the intersection of the transit road, located at the city’s main exit towards Pristina. The project addresses a long-standing issue of traffic congestion at this well-known point. Mayor Alban Hyseni, accompanied by Director of Public Services Kushtrim Ibrahimi and other municipal officials, oversaw the start of the work.
Mayor Hyseni highlighted the roundabout’s significance as part of broader efforts to enhance the city’s road infrastructure. “Following the completion of necessary administrative processes and contract signing, we have initiated on-site interventions,” stated Mayor Hyseni. “This construction is targeted at the Gjilan-Prishtina highway exit.”
The planned roundabout is anticipated to alleviate traffic bottlenecks currently experienced at the intersection.
