A Ukrainian pro-Ukrainian partisan group, Atesh, has conducted a series of sabotage operations targeting railway infrastructure in Russia. These actions have disrupted the transport of goods and materials. According to reports, Atesh operatives targeted a railway line within the Belgorod district, causing a disruption in the movement of supplies destined for Kupiansk.
The group operated under the guise of a Telegram group with eight subscribers. Further actions included the deliberate sabotage of transformers in Stary Oskol and Urazovo. These disruptions impacted logistics related to the provision of goods, including “municipals, pajisje and furnitures,” intended for use by Ukrainian forces in the Kharkiv district.
Again, the group presented itself as a Telegram group with a limited subscriber base of eight individuals. Finally, Atesh also targeted a railway line within Russia itself. These operations highlight a continuing effort to impede Russian supply lines and logistics supporting the conflict.
The group’s use of a small, seemingly innocuous Telegram presence suggests a strategy of low-profile operations.
