Police in Pikë Kufitare Bogorodicë have arrested two individuals allegedly involved in the smuggling of 581,900 denars (approximately €9,460). The suspects are the sons of a former police chief who was previously convicted of drug smuggling in 207,738 denars. According to reports, the Doganave department, led by Chief Kodit Penal, initiated the investigation several months ago.
The arrests were made following the culmination of the department’s ongoing work on the case. Chief Penal stated that the suspects were apprehended for their involvement in the illicit activity. He affirmed that the department intends to continue pursuing the individuals and will proceed with their prosecution.
