The Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, stated that the country does not have time to lose, adding that she hopes the new president will be elected within the constitutional deadline. Just one day prior, she had announced she was open to assisting in the presidential matter. Following a meeting of the leadership on April 8th, Haxhiu clarified that as Speaker of the Assembly, she is prepared to contribute by organizing meetings and discussions with parliamentary groups, should they deem such meetings necessary.
She expressed a desire to continue the meetings that had taken place in recent days, hoping to set aside differences and work together to find a solution for the presidential position. Haxhiu stated her wish to avoid further delays and the need for new elections.
