With less than 20 days remaining until the presidential term expires, the Vetëvendosje movement, currently in power, has yet to engage in discussions with the main opposition party, the PDK. Despite limited activity on the ground to date, with no new proposals submitted, Vetëvendosje believes increased efforts will occur moving forward. “I believe that during these days we will intensify our efforts to find a solution and that the president is elected within the constitutional deadline.
Because we are convinced that the country needs a president elected by Parliament, as new elections will not bring any other result and are unnecessary,” stated Arbërie Nagavci, Head of the Vetëvendosje Parliamentary Group. The Democratic Party of Kosovo has reiterated the position of its chairman.
