Two Dead, Five Injured in Rrëshen–Milot Road Accident
A serious accident occurred on the Rrëshen–Milot section of the National Road on April 17, 2026, resulting in two fatalities and five injuries. The collision involved two vehicles driven by citizen N. P., 61, and citizen D.
P., 30. The initial incident occurred when the vehicles collided. As a direct result, the driver of one vehicle, N.
P., and passenger F. P., 57 (the father of D. P.), were pronounced dead at the scene.
Four passengers from the second vehicle, including driver D. P., sustained injuries and were transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for treatment. Medical personnel are currently assessing their conditions.
A investigative group, led by the Prosecutor’s Office, is actively working to determine the precise cause of the accident and to comprehensively document the event for legal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing. The Rrëshen–Milot road segment remains closed to facilitate the investigation and recovery efforts.
