Kurti to Intensify Efforts to Secure Presidential Candidate as Deadline Nears
Prishtina – With just nine days remaining before the constitutional deadline for electing a president, the Vetëvendosje (VV) Movement is preparing for a significant intensification of its efforts to reach a resolution. MP Arbër Rexhaj stated that Prime Minister Albin Kurti intends to accelerate negotiations. Speaking to KosovaPress, Rexhaj indicated that the coming week will see a marked increase in the frequency of meetings led by Kurti.
He emphasized the need to shift from broad discussions towards specific proposals concerning potential presidential candidates. “I anticipate a rise in the number of meetings, with discussions continuing throughout the week,” Rexhaj explained. The VV party believes the process must transition to concrete names as a means of addressing the challenges currently preventing the election of a president.
The movement is focused on securing a candidate capable of leading the country forward. The statement comes as political stakeholders work against the rapidly approaching deadline, signaling a critical period in the ongoing presidential selection process.
