NASA to Collaborate on Investigation of Scientist Disappearances
NASA announced Monday its cooperation with relevant agencies in the ongoing investigation into the deaths and disappearances of eleven scientists specializing in nuclear and space research. The agency is coordinating efforts with federal partners to address the situation. “NASA is coordinating and cooperating with the relevant agencies regarding the missing scientists,” stated NASA spokesperson Bethany Stevens in a statement released through the social media platform X.
“At this time, nothing related to NASA indicates a threat to national security,” Stevens added. The agency emphasized a commitment to transparency, stating they will provide further information as it becomes available. The investigation is being led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed on April 17th that the FBI will be investigating the cases. A prominent American physicist described the situation as “a matter of national concern.”
Authorities are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the disappearances and deaths. The investigation remains active, and updates will be provided as they emerge.
NASA’s involvement underscores the seriousness of the situation and the need for a comprehensive response.
