Sali: We are guarantors of the implementation of the Law for Fair and Adequate Representation.

Government Committed to Respecting New Adequate Representation Law

Tirana – Despite concerns regarding the absence of sanctions within the newly drafted Law on Just and Adequate Representation, Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali affirmed the government’s commitment to its full implementation. The law, focused on ensuring adequate representation across the country’s administrative system, has sparked debate regarding its enforcement mechanisms. Responding to questions about the lack of explicitly defined penalties, Sali stated that the government serves as the guarantor of the law’s adherence.

He emphasized that the legislation establishes a framework for operational procedures. Specifically, the law anticipates the creation of supplementary legal acts that will allow for action in specific circumstances. A coordinating body, to be led by the First Deputy Prime Minister, will oversee the implementation of the law.

Sali explained that this body will be instrumental in developing a detailed plan for operationalization following the law’s official approval. The government’s role is to ensure the law on adequate representation is successfully integrated into the country’s administrative processes. Further details regarding the development of the operational plan will be communicated following the law’s finalization.
