Haziri Expresses Conditions for Kurti-Abdixhiku Meeting
Lutfi Haziri, leader of the LDK party, has stated he is open to the possibility of a meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Igbal Halilhodžić, but emphasized the need for a credible invitation. Speaking on RTV21’s “Click” program on April 22, 2026, Haziri addressed public speculation surrounding a potential meeting. Haziri clarified that LDK’s response to any invitation would depend on the seriousness and convincing nature of the offer.
He questioned the rationale behind maintaining public anticipation regarding a meeting that remains unconfirmed. “It is unclear what factors are driving public hope for this meeting,” Haziri stated. He suggested the invitation should clearly outline the objectives of the meeting and be acceptable to both LDK and its leader.
Haziri indicated that the invitation could be extended at any time, noting “it can happen tonight, the night is long, let us have the week that is long.”
The LDK leader’s comments follow reports regarding potential discussions between Kurti and Halilhodžić. The possibility of a meeting remains under consideration, contingent upon a suitable invitation.
