Central Labor Inspectorate Conducts Extensive Inspection Action in Kosovo
The Central Labor Inspectorate initiated an extraordinary inspection action across the territory of Kosovo, concentrating on high-risk sectors, notably construction. The action was undertaken following a decision by the Minister of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Kosovo and in accordance with the institution’s legal mandate. Over a 48-hour period, a total of 41 inspections and 19 follow-up inspections were conducted.
These efforts targeted workplaces within sectors identified as posing significant labor risks. As a result of the inspections, 16 instances led to the immediate cessation of work activities. The inspectorate also facilitated the issuance of 8 work permits during the action.
The purpose of this comprehensive labor action is to ensure compliance with safety regulations and labor laws throughout Kosovo. “The Central Labor Inspectorate, in implementation of the Minister of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Kosovo’s decision and in accordance with its legal mandate, has undertaken an extraordinary inspection action in high-risk sectors throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo,” the announcement stated.
