Market Inspectorate Issues Over €58,000 in Fines Following Nationwide Inspections
The State Market Inspectorate has concluded a week-long series of inspections across its four market inspectorate offices nationwide, resulting in the issuance of 124 fines totaling over €58,000. The inspections, conducted between [Start Date] and [End Date], focused on violations of several key laws. The primary offenses observed were breaches of the Trade Law and the Financial Discipline Law.
A total of 166 inspections were carried out under the Trade Law, leading to 47 fines. Twenty-one inspections related to the Tobacco Protection Law yielded 12 fines, while 49 inspections concerning the Hotel Activities Law resulted in 14 fines. Furthermore, 107 inspections were carried out under the Financial Discipline Law, with 42 fines issued.
The inspections also addressed violations of the Consumer Protection Law. Officials carried out a significant number of inspections to ensure compliance. These inspections were undertaken as part of ongoing efforts to enforce relevant laws and maintain market standards.
